Valkyrie is a unique Cal 34 due to many thoughtful custom features that increase the utilization of space and safety of this vessel.  Starting with the topside custom features, when you go forward to raise or lower the main during rough seas or a calm day you have two stainless steel stands beside the mast to lean on to secure your footing.  The hull is protected by a beautiful custom teak rub rail that is capped off with stainless steel.  For those long voyages or to just minimize the need to refill your propane tank, there is a custom stainless steel locker that fits on the stern rail to hold a 20 pound propane tank.  Moving down below, the chef on aboard will be pleased to find the custom teak counter and shelves that not only adds counter space but adds tremendous storage space not found on boats this size.  Utilizing the same teak as the manufacturer, these modifications are so well integrated into the boat you would never known they werent standard from the manufacturer.  The table was also converted to a fixed table and shelving added behind the settees to make the layout of the salon more user friendly.  A standard feature that is note worthy is Valkyrie has a spacious V-berth that comfortably accommodates two.  If you are over 6 feet, this is a V-berth that you must check out.
