Vessel Details
Introduced in 1987 the Grand Banks 46 is now referred to as simply the Classic a designation with which few knowledgeable boaters would dispute. With her elegant trawler profile and proven semi-displacement hull the 46 Classic is a true offshore passagemaker and a superb seaboat. Like all Grand Banks models the 46 Classic is an extremely well built yacht with exceptional engineering and a near-obsessive attention to detail. The teak cabinetry is flawless the mechanical systems are first-rate and the gel coat exterior is mirror smooth. Additional features include a fold-down mast teak decks and direct cockpit access from the aft cabin. The 46 Classic is known for her comfortable cruising qualities and her economical Caterpillar engines will cruise her at 15 knots at 2400 RPM. ODYSSEY is a stabilized low hour vessel ready for her new adventures.
Accommodations
A private stateroom forward with a large V-berth complete with ample storage below the berth and a hanging locker. There is large hatch and two opening ports with screens. Aft of the V-berth is a large laundry center complete with a full size washer and dryer. Further aft is the guest head complete with stand up separate shower stall. On the opposite side is the large U-shaped galley. The galley has amazing storage capabilities and two refrigerators each with separate freezers. Flush under the counter freezer and tons of storage for dry goods and cooking supplies. The counter space mirrors a gourmet kitchen. Three steps up into the main salon there is a breakfast bar with two stools. The bar overlooks the galley down allowing the cook to converse easily with guests. There is a large wet bar complete with hidden liquor locker and icemaker.The large settee offers storage underneath and the salon table will fold out to make a large dinette. There are two additional dining chairs kept along each side of the entertainment center. Opposite the settee is the entertainment center and just aft is a built in bookcase.The lower helm is non obtrusive and blends well into the surrounding dcor. There are two Grand Banks breakfast stools and a tall helm seat. The aft master cabin is down a few steps and offers an off center queen sized complete walk around berth. The aft cabin is complete with large storage areas hanging lockers vanity area separate head and shower. There are huge hanging lockers and multiple drawers and storage areas.The entire interior of ODYSSEY is complete with the unmatched Grand Banks teak joinery parquet flooring and beautiful matching fabrics.
